THEMES
Here is a non-comprehensive selection of songs grouped by themes. Of course, some songs will span across multiple themes. For example, the song “Fast-track” covers themes of romance, heartbreak, and the afterlife. A song’s theme is not evoked entirely by lyrics. The music, of course, has a lot to do with it. That said, the musical and lyrical content of the songs I write are intricately connected due the process that I use to write the them. That is, I usually start with a mood, vibe, feeling, etc., which will give rise to a melody or chordal sequence, which in turn informs the lyrics that accompany the musical content.
